Privacy policy

Last updated November 5, 2026

DisneyFan.ai ("we") runs this site; the company behind it is named in our Terms of use. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell personal information, and we don't run advertising trackers.

What we store

  • Visitors: a random visitor ID in a cookie, your trip dates and home resort if you enter them, your AI Helper status and questions used, and a history of the questions you ask the assistant (so we can charge correctly, prevent abuse and improve answers).
  • Sign-in: if you sign in with Google or Apple, the account identifier, name and email they give us. If you create an account with your email, your email and a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your password, never the password itself. For each device you're signed in on, a session record (when it started, when it was last used and the browser type) so you can sign out everywhere.
  • Email: your address, only if you sign up for the digest or alerts, until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Trip briefings: with AI Helper and trip dates, we write a briefing for each park day (and the park you pick for it, if you do) and keep it for 12 months. If your account has an email address we email it to you; turn the emails off on the Trip tab or with the link in any briefing. Weather forecasts come from the US National Weather Service, which receives nothing about you.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers. We keep the receipt details Stripe sends us (pack, amount, date, status).
  • Guest reports: the report, the time, and a hashed (one-way) version of your network address, used only to decide whether two reports came from different places. We don't store the address itself.
  • Suggestions: what you write, and your email only if you ask for a reply.
  • Location: "Find me", routes and the compass use your location and motion only in your browser; they are never sent to us.
  • Voice: if you speak a question, your phone or browser turns your voice into text (Apple and Google may process the audio under their own privacy terms). We only receive the text, like a typed question. Reading answers aloud happens on your device.
  • Family park parties: only if you join a party and turn sharing on. We store only your latest position, only while you're in or near a park, for the time you choose (at most until midnight), and delete it when sharing ends. It's shown only to the people the party organizer approved. We keep no location history. Parties end after 7 days and are deleted a day later.
  • Site analytics: pages viewed and for how long, how you arrived (search, social, email, campaign links), device, browser, screen size, language and an approximate location (country, region and city) from your network address, linked by a random analytics cookie (df_vid) unless you opt out. We don't store your network address, and analytics data never goes to advertisers. See Cookies and storage to change your choice.

How we use it

To run the site and the assistant, provide AI Helper, send the emails you asked for, keep the site safe and family-friendly, fix problems, and improve features. We don't use your information for advertising.

Who processes it for us

  • Stripe: payments.
  • Anthropic and, for some features, OpenRouter: AI answers and news summaries. Questions are sent without your name or email and, under their business terms, are not used to train their models.
  • Voyage AI: meaning-based search, so the assistant finds the right news for a question. It receives the question text only, without your name or email.
  • Resend: sending email.
  • Google and Apple: sign-in, if you choose it.
  • Hostinger: hosting our servers and database in the United States.

Approximate location comes from a database we keep on our own servers (IP Geolocation by DB-IP); your address is not sent to them.

We don't sell or share personal information for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect people's safety.

How long we keep it

  • Party locations: until sharing ends (at most until midnight). Parties: deleted 1 day after they end.
  • Assistant question history and guest reports: up to 12 months.
  • Site analytics: about 13 months, then deleted.
  • Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually 7 years).
  • Everything else: until you ask us to delete it.

Children

The site is for ages 13 and over and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the site, email us and we'll delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can clear your dates, stop sharing your location, unsubscribe from email, or ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing support@disneyfan.ai (subject "Privacy request"). We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including Texas and other US states, you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them. We won't treat you differently for using them.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, keys and secrets are encrypted at rest, and access is limited to the people who run the site. No system is perfectly secure, but we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
